As part of the Business of Photography Conference, we’re launching #MyLagosHustle, a photography contest spotlighting the relentless spirit of Lagosians. Show us the sweat, the hustle, the dreams, and the daily wins that keep this city moving.

Photography Contest Submission Instructions

To enter the contest, please submit the following:

1.Your Photograph

Prepare your image according to these specifications:

– Resize so the longest side is 3600 pixels. minimum and 5400 pixels maximum.

– Save as a JPEG (JPG) file.

– File size should not be less than 2mb and not exceed 5 MB.

– Use sRGB color space.

– Save with a JPEG quality setting of 10 (100%) or higher.

– Do not include watermarks, logos, copyright stamps, or borders, only bleed photographs are accepted.

– The file name should not contain special characters such as @, $, #.

– Images must not be A.I generated

– Ensure the image metadata contains your information as well as image information 

2. Backstory of Your Photograph

Please provide a brief description (100–300 words) explaining the inspiration, story, or message behind your photograph. This backstory helps us understand the relevance and context of your work and enriches the contest experience for judges and viewers.

3. Copyright and Ownership

– Submit only images you have created and own the copyright to.

– You may embed copyright information in the image metadata.

– Do not submit images created by others or that you do not have full rights to.
